The Bertinga vineyard is near the village of Lecchi in Chianti. It is a two-hectare vineyard with a beautiful southern exposure and a soil that has a natural vocation for the production of important red wines. The vines are pruned with the spurred cordon method, with a maximum number of four buds. Part of the Bertinga and Monti vineyards is occupied by rows of Cabernet Sauvignon, from which the grapes that produce the Bertinga wine come from. From the 2008 vintage, a percentage of Merlot harvested from the Argenina vineyard is added, up to a maximum of 40%. The refinement of this wine takes place in Allier oak barriques for a period of eighteen months. Before being released, the wine rests for another six months in the bottle.
